D is for Do.
C’mon with it!
Take the risk!
DO IT ALL.
Not half-heartedly, but ALL.
I watched Louie Giglio talk and was hit to the very core. Because I am guilty for doing half-hearted work. I am even guilty of not wanting to work and complaining. I was just reminded that God can enable me to do things for Him if I just would want to.
In one part of his message, he challenged us to not be Christiaans who do half-hearted work. And that stayed with me. This verse reminded me about the things I do.
In whatever you do… Be it play the guitar. Study. Be with friends. Be a doctor, architect, playwright… Whatever.
… do it ALL. Give your very very very very very very best.
… for the name of the Lord Jesus. Because it’s all about Him. It’s letting people know that God is real through our lives. By loving them wholeheartedly as they are. It’s getting real with them. It’s doing life with them. It’s being the light.
… giving thanks to the Father. And at the end of it all, when praises resound, we give them all back to God who enables us to do these things anyway.
Yesterday I spent time with a couple of friends and we talked about what’s going in our lives. By the time we ended, we realized that we haven’t really resolved to do something about the things we said.
And that is really what is lacking in us nowadays. That “Do It!” part. We talk much, but do little. We dream big yet we do little. Little is produced. Faith is not exercised. And at times, when we actually do something, it’s half-hearted effort, yet we expect great things to come out of them.
So it’s not that God does not desire to bless His children (it’s in His nature to bless his people), it’s just that nothing happens because our hearts aren’t right in doing them.
And when our hearts our not right, we just tend to lower our standards and settle for the lesser things. Like when we’re not really into studying this particular subject, it’s alright to just have this grade.
Right?
But when we actually do decide to do something and give all our very best to it, God will do the very best that He can (and I’m pretty sure that’s a lot) to empower and to help us. That does not mean we won’t ever experience failure, but even in failure, we’ll make a strong comeback and be stronger than before.
So whatever it is that’s stirring inside of you (we’re all wired with different talents and giftings), whether it’s to become an actor, theatre actress, make jeans, build malls, whatever it is… DO it ALL. Go for it! Loving God first and foremost…. Pursuing excellence… And not surrounding yourself with people who will stnad with you through life.

faith without works is useless
but its so easy to read the book go to the conference and not really change
we have it too easy and can quickly get lukewarm and distracted and if we were really in love with Jesus then that would not happen,
the worst part is that its not hard things i fail to do its the every day easy things, a few days being busy with school or something and next thing you know you have not been reading the bible all week. that should be so easy to do.
but just keep running tword God as fast as you can and God really will hold you in the palm of his hand.
Micah 6:8
what does the LORD require of you?
Act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with your God
if you like Louie Giglio and know some about biology watch him speak about Laminin (amasing)
